“The Beckoning Shore” - Marc Roman

Reception and Artist Talk: Saturday October 10, 5.00-7.30pm (talk at 6pm)

Jo Fleming Contemporary Art features Annapolis contemporary landscape artist Marc Roman during the month of October with The Beckoning Shore.

The exhibition brings together paintings of picturesque coastal locations and dwellings along the coast of Maine and Chincoteague Island, as well as newly completed work inspired by Tangier Island.

Working from his own photographs, Roman combines oil, acrylic, mixed media, spray paint and gouache on canvas and paper. His paintings explore fleeting moments in time, capturing the changing effects of light and shadow across the coastal landscape.
