“Field Studies” - A Range of Observation

by Camilla Schwarz

April 1-30, 2026
Opening Reception, Saturday April 11, 5-8pm (all welcome)
Annapolis Gallery Walk, Thursday April 16, 5-8pm

Throughout April are pleased to present "Field Studies" A Range of Observation featuring new large-scale oil paintings by local artist Camilla Schwarz.

Built through layered surfaces and close observation, Camilla’s works evoke the movement, color, and atmosphere of natural fields. Drawing from memory and lived experience, she explores fields as places where both plants and ideas quietly grow.

Camilla is a painter living and working in Annapolis, Maryland. After early studies in painting, she returned to her practice in 2010 following years in healthcare and raising a family. She has studied with Lee Boyton, Mary Arthur, and Ken Cosgrove, and attended the Hoffberger School of Painting (2024–2025).

Our gallery is delighted to participate in Maryland Open Studios on April 12–13, and the Annapolis Gallery Artwalk on Thursday, April 16, from 5–8pm.
