Radiant Coast | Marc Roman
September 1 - October 15
"Radiant Coast," featuring paintings by Marc Roman, showcases the artist’s fascination with Annapolis, which he envisions as a tilting pirate ship with telephone poles as masts and power lines as rigging. The exhibition also includes paintings of Chincoteague Island, Virginia, and the coast of Maine. Roman begins with a neon acrylic underpainting and layers high-key oil paint to blend his passion for action painting with a controlled illustrative style, seeking magical cohesion through a dynamic, layered process.
Also on display will be ceramic wall artworks by Jeremy Jernegan.
