As a child, Geo spent countless hours walking meadows, playing in crystal-clear streams, looking for salamanders and crawdads. Her favorite spot was mid-way up a giant pine tree – this was her crow's nest where she surveyed the world around her.
“These days, most people, and especially children, are so disconnected from nature; the intricate beauty that surrounds us. It is my good fortune to live and work on the Eastern Shore which is a place of open spaces, still unspoiled remarkable horizons, water, woods, and fields, although development encroaches.”
Although Geo’s art is representational, she is influenced by infinite patterns, rhythm, and color in nature. Cerulean Blue, Ivory Black, Diazone Purple, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green are the colors most often on her palette.
Geo’s work has been included in juried shows in Annapolis, Rehoboth, Adkins Arboretum, Berlin, and Ocean City. Artist Member Rehoboth Art League, Maryland Federation of the Arts, Worcester County Arts Council.
